Rivenholt AS

Rivenholt AS · Norwegian software company

We build and run our own software.

Rivenholt AS is a small, independent software company. We develop our own products and operate them ourselves — no client work, no outside investors.

What we do

Everything we make is our own. That frees us to build for the long run rather than for the next deliverable.

01

Our own products

We build the products ourselves, from first idea to running service — not consultancy or contract work for others.

02

We run them ourselves

We operate and keep developing what we ship. Whatever goes into production stays our responsibility over time.

03

Direct to the user

Products go straight to the people using them, with a Norwegian company as the counterparty. Everything is free to use today; paid plans are not open yet.

Products

Four products, each with its own name, its own site and its own reason to exist.

A training journal for Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Log your sessions and keep your own record of the training — no ads, and your entries stay private unless you choose to publish them.

Open beta

A shared calendar, shopping list and to-do list for the whole household, kept in one place — without it all ending up in a group chat.

The story behind Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu — timeline, lineage tree and guides, published in full in both English and Norwegian.

Capabilities

We build the whole chain ourselves — which has forced us to get good at every link in it.

End-to-end product development

From idea and design through development, launch and continued operation. We do the product work in-house rather than contracting it out, and we run what we ship — on infrastructure from established European and US providers.

AI engineering

We design and run LLM-based systems that do real work: specialised agents with defined roles, tool access and handoffs, wired into day-to-day operations rather than bolted on as a demo.

AI structure

Knowledge, authority and guardrails organised so an AI system stays useful as it grows: one home per fact, defined roles, and a review step before anything binding goes out. Thirty-nine purpose-built agents run on that model across the company and its products.

Web and mobile in one build

Famlysync and Mybjjstory run in the browser and install on a phone like an ordinary app — with no detour through an app store.

Data and access control

Access rules live in the database itself, not only in the interface. Every query is checked against row-level security policies, so an account only reaches the data it is entitled to — its own, plus whatever a household or a team has deliberately shared with it.

Privacy and European operations

Primary customer data is stored in the EU. Some supporting services — hosting, e-mail delivery and error monitoring — are run by US-owned companies under the transfer safeguards the GDPR requires. We show no ads, and we do not combine what you do in one product with another to build a profile of you.

Accessibility and language

Mybjjstory is checked against automated accessibility audits on every build, and we are extending the same checks to the other products. The BJJ Story is published in full in both Norwegian and English.

Testing, monitoring and delivery

Every product has an automated test suite — end-to-end and unit — that runs on the way to production. SurveyBaker also reports runtime errors to a monitoring service, and that setup is being rolled out to the rest.
